Cyberbullying Prevention Guide

Cyberbullying Prevention Guide

Cyberbullying is when someone uses technology, like social media, messaging apps, or gaming platforms, to threaten, embarrass, or hurt you. It can show up as mean comments, fake profiles, nasty DMs, or spreading rumors online.

If this is happening to you or someone you know, pause, breathe, and remember, it’s not your fault.

You deserve to feel safe online. And this guide is here to help.

What You Can Do

Don’t react. Stay calm.
Responding in anger gives bullies exactly what they want. Don’t give them the power.

Save everything.
Take screenshots of messages, posts, or profiles. You may need this proof later.

Block and report.
Use the “Block” and “Report” features on every app. Most platforms take bullying seriously.

Talk to someone you trust.
Whether it’s a parent, teacher, older sibling, or school counselor—reach out. You’re not alone, and you shouldn’t have to deal with it in silence.

Be the friend someone needs.
If you see cyberbullying happen, don’t ignore it. Support the person being targeted and report the abuse.

You’re not powerless. You’re not alone.
At SpeakUp Yuva on Blogalot, we stand with every teen who chooses courage over silence. Let’s build a kinder, safer internet, together.
